Meet the Team

  • Kelsey Garcia is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder of Wellspring Individual & Family Counseling. She is passionate about serving individuals, couples, and families throughout the Central Valley through therapy, advocacy, and meaningful community support.

    Kelsey works with clients who feel like they have been living in survival mode and are ready to slow down, heal, and better understand themselves. She often supports people navigating relationship pain, disconnection, identity questions, grief, life transitions, and the process of rebuilding after difficult seasons.

    In therapy, Kelsey creates a safe and accepting space where clients can reconnect with themselves, strengthen their relationships, and move toward greater wholeness in their lives. Her approach is compassionate, steady, and grounded in helping people recognize their capacity for healing and growth.

  • Jamaine Leverett is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals and couples seeking greater emotional understanding, healthier relationships, and stronger connection. He has training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Internal Family Therapy (IFT), which allows him to help clients explore their emotions, understand relational patterns, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

    Jamaine offers a warm, thoughtful, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel supported as they work through challenges, strengthen relationships, and move toward meaningful change. He is also a certified SYMBIS facilitator, providing structured premarital counseling for engaged or seriously dating couples who want to build a strong foundation for marriage.

  • Katarzyna “Kasia” Schuman is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals, children, families, and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relational disconnection, and life transitions. She is passionate about helping clients understand their experiences, strengthen their sense of self, and move toward deeper joy and fulfillment in their lives.

    Kasia’s clinical approach is integrative, drawing from psychodynamic, attachment-based, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approaches. She is also certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which can be used alongside talk therapy to support clients in processing the impact of trauma.

    Before joining Wellspring, Kasia completed her practicum at the Marjaree Mason Center, where she provided crisis intervention and therapy for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. In therapy, Kasia helps clients make sense of what they’ve been through, understand the patterns that keep them feeling stuck, and uncover practical steps forward for lasting change.

  • Alyssa Ballis is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who works with teens, young adults, individuals, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, domestic violence, and faith-related concerns. She has a heart for helping clients feel seen, supported, and hopeful as they work through painful experiences and build healthier ways of coping.

    Alyssa brings nearly two decades of experience working with youth through small groups, mentoring, and support for adolescents ages 12–18. She has also worked with individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, clients struggling with eating disorders, and those facing complex emotional and relational challenges.

    In therapy, Alyssa uses approaches such as CBT, DBT, and a person-centered perspective to create individualized goals for each client. Her style is thoughtful, accepting, and hope-filled, offering clients a safe place to process difficult experiences and move toward healing.

    Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family, working out with friends, and doing home projects with her husband and two young children.

  • Crystal Strope is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who enjoys working with children, teens, young adults, moms, and families. She supports clients navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, relationship challenges, and the pressure of carrying many responsibilities at once.

    Before becoming a counselor, Crystal spent years as a stay-at-home mom, which shaped her heart for supporting women, parents, and families through the unspoken demands of motherhood, marriage, caregiving, and everyday life. She brings both professional training and personal understanding into the therapy room, helping clients feel less alone as they work through difficult seasons.

    Crystal has experience working with children as young as three through young adulthood. Her approach is warm, supportive, and practical, helping clients feel understood while building confidence, emotional skills, and steadier ways to handle life's challenges.
